How to identify a recyclable and recycled packaging ? How to recognize recycled materials ? What are the sorting instructions for our packaging?

IDENTIFY A RECYCLABLE / RECYCLED PACKAGING 

MOBIUS LOOP AND PERCENTAGE IN THE CENTER

This is the universal symbol for recyclable materials.

It is used to identify recyclable packaging.

MOBIUS LOOP WITH PERCENTAGE AT CENTRE

When there is a percentage at the centre, it means that the packaging contains a percentage of recycled material.

GREEN DOT LOGO

Does not mean that the packaging is recycled or recyclable but indicates that the company that put the product on the market pays a contribution on the sorting and collection operations.  The Green Dot logo is being phased out

IDENTIFY RECYCLABLE MATERIALS

We find the following symbols on the bottom of bottles, jars or other containers

• GLASS

• ALUMINIUM

• PLASTICS

With the exception of plastic 6, the plastics mentioned are accepted in sorting centres

SORTING RECOMMENDATIONS AND PACKAGING 

• TRIMAN, the standard

Triman is a unique sorting logo. It must be affixed to all recyclable household packaging (including cosmetic packaging).

It can be accompanied by a sorting instruction.

• TIDYMAN 

Often used, but not related to recycling. It encourages consumers not to litter.

• CROSSED-OUT BIN

Indicates that the waste should not be discarded in normal dustbins.

SORTING INSTRUCTIONS 

Most of the packaging offered by EMBELIA is recyclable and should be disposed of in the sorting garbage cans.

GLASS

Glass packaging (bottles, jars, pillboxes) must be disposed of in the green glass recycling garbage can.

ALUMINIUM, PLASTIC, MULTI-MATERIALS ASSEMBLIES

Packaging should be empty, and preferably with the cap screwed on, before being thrown away.
